How prepaid electricity works
Login to your Now Power account and transfer money into your prepaid account. You’ll be sent daily text messages and emails about your energy usage and account balance. When your balance nears zero, simply add more money to the account.
Monitor your usage
To help you better manager your energy consumption, Now Power lets you keep track of how much energy you’re using. By logging into your account online or with our app, you can see how much energy you’ve used, and how much more you can use before your prepaid total runs out.
Save money and electricity
The less energy you use, the lower your bill will be.
Here’s some tips to help you reduce your energy usage and make the most of the money.
- Turn off lights whenever you leave the room
- Use fans instead of your air conditioning
- Adjust your thermostat accordingly. In the winter, turn the thermostat down to the lowest degree where you’re still comfortable (usually between 68-70 degrees). In the summer, bump it up to 78-80 degrees.
- In the summer, close the blinds to reduce the heating impact of the sun.
- Hang your laundry up to dry instead of using the dryer
- Hand dry your dishes instead of using the heat cycle on your dishwasher
